Evaluation Study on TWF Life Skills Programme 2013-14

Following the impact assessment of TWF's Life Skills Programme in 2012-2013 which aims to instil critical life skills, resilience and hope in adolescent girls and boys from mainly under-privileged families, a follow up assessment was conducted for the 2nd year of the Life Skills Programme.

The evaluation was conducted by the Department of Social Work at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. A quantitative research method was adopted in the assessment and the findings indicate that the student participants experienced substantial improvements in the majority of the aspects that were measured and they gained a more positive evaluation of self-worth, a stronger sense of companionship, an enhanced senses of meaningfulness, a higher satisfaction with life, an improved sense of control over life events, and a greater willingness to take part in family financial matters.
